La GAD est une expérience de l’art, tel un laboratoire dans l’appartement d’Arnaud Deschin à Marseille. Le lieu conçu avec des architectes a eu pour vocation de vivre dans les expositions et de recevoir le public. Une exposition se développe comme un œuvre que prépare l’artiste en atelier. Le rôle du galeriste est surtout curatorial avant d’être marchand. . La ligne de La GAD définie par Arnaud Deschin, artiste de formation Beaux arts, s’est construite en collaboration avec 120 artistes émergeants ou confirmés. Le recrutement fut autant Français qu’ internationnal. La GAD a curaté cinquante expositions dans et hors de ses murs, et aussi exercé l’art du stand en foires. A ce jour le domicile s’est enrichi d’œuvres d’art bien marquantes de notre époque actuelle.
Son but est d’exposer lors de group show énormément de nouveaux artistes issus principalement d’école d’art. Le solo show se pratique si vraiment un artiste doit être en particulier mis en avant. A l’extérieur La GAD doit être présente là où son public ne l’attend pas pour s’enrichir de nouvelles rencontres et diffuser les artistes sur de nouveaux réseaux.
Le champ artistique principalement orienté vers l’art conceptuel, la matière, les histoires des artistes, l’histoire du white cube, aujourd’hui s’affirme par un soutien à la peinture figurative.
En 2016 La GAD appartement est ouverte à la location pour une ou deux nuits ou + à choisir. Préparez vous pour cette expérience de vie dans les expositions, au milieu d’une centaine d’œuvres, bienvenue dans le laboratoire.

The GAD is an art experiment such as a laboratory , in Arnaud Deschin’s appartment, in Marseille. The space has been designed by architects in order to host exhibitions and its andience in the galerist’s private habitat. The process of developing an exhibition is the same as the one of an artist in his studio. Beyond the commercial apect, the galerist’s role is mostly curatorial. Graduated from Marseille Art School, Arnaud Deschin built his own curatorial choices by collaborating with over 120 young emerging or confirmed artists, as well French or international. The GAD has curated 50 exhibitions within or outside its walls, and is also present on different international art fairs. To date, the GAD is proud to own a consequent collection of characteristic of our current time period.
The aim is to exhibit and promote a lot of newly graduated young artists into group shows curated by The GAD. Solo show could also be possible if an artist specificaly requires it. The GAD has to be present where its audiance isn’t ecpecting it to be in order to create new encounters and circulate artists through new networks.
The contemporary artistique landscape of The GAD, mainly oriented towards conceptual art, artworks with matter, artist’s stories or the Hystory of the ‘white cube’, is now affirmed by a support to figurative painting.
2016 is an important turning point for the galery because ; This space will host the whole new crew of The GAD in Marseille. Then, The current GAD will offered for rent as a special accomodation : spending a night or two in the middle of an art exhibition, within hundreds of artpieces. Welcome in the lab!
