Kerry Downey et Natasha Marie Llorens mèneront une discussion expérimentale explorant la relation entre la dernière vidéo réalisée par Downey, Nothing But Net, et la prémisse curatoriale de The Exposed Suture : comment les artistes représentent la violence structurelle. Pour la première fois, Downey partagera le texte de la vidéo sous forme imprimée en français et en anglais et proposera un atelier sur la relation entre le langage et le pouvoir. L’événement comprendra une projection performative de Nothing But Net, suivie d’une discussion et d’une session questions-réponses avec l’artiste.

Kerry Downey and Natasha Marie Llorens will lead an experimental discussion exploring the relationship between Downey’s newest video, Nothing But Net, and the curatorial premise for The Exposed Suture: how do artists represent structural violence. For the first time, Downey will share the video’s text in print form in both French and English, and will lead participants in a workshop that considers the relationship between language and power. The event will include a performative screening of Nothing But Net, followed by a structured discussion and a Q&A with the artist.
